-ne In an effort to leverage my bet on lower oil prices, I increased my overdraft (which costs me only 5% p.a.) and purchased Kesem Optzia Neft Put 20 which pays the difference between 70 $ per barrel and the Brent Nov 17 futures price on the ILO exchange. (2) Conventional oil supply may decline but tar sands in Canada, Venezuelan heavy oils, and shale oil in the USA will make up all the decline. (4) Oil purchases by China and India will decrease because their internal demand is subsidized. Demand is growing only where oil products are subsidized, in the rest of the world it is dead. All this activity is fast changing the oil market and lowering prices.

Luke 12:22-31. Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear.
One Lent, I decided to give up anxiety. My discipline was to make mental note of what made me anxious and offer it to God. I thought such a discipline would not be difficult for one with regular prayer time and whose worries were minor compared to the needs of the world. Was I ever wrong! That season I became aware how often I fretted over something. Should we buy a sound system for the church? Were my children doing what they should? What's for dinner? Should I have given the homeless man more money? How much should our parish give to outreach? How can we be peacemakers? You get the idea. I realized anxiety rather than prayer was my rule of life.
The good news was that in realizing how much of my day was filled with mind clutter and self-judgment, I could take small steps to let it go. No, my children are probably not living up to their potential. Who is? Peace in the Middle East? Get moving, say your prayers, pay attention to the news, act. And most of all, look around. Take a breath. See God's world which offers so many signs of his power, care, and love.

or rather the squares to knit it, can be found in the Barbara Walker Mosaic Knitting book. You only knit garter stitch, RS and WS, you just have to slip some stitches. and you thought I didn't get any knitting done! I decided to make Hannah's Magic Mosaic Blanket NOT with 63 squares, but with 40 squares. I just couldn't stand the thought of the never ending squares lining up to be knitted. You count black or white squares and knit accordingly. Anyway, after I've agreed with myself, that 40 is a much more realistic and human number, the knitting got easier. (I love my little camera with all it's - to me - hidden features) ... I try to knit two squares a week. She's knitting this blanket too. I think we even have the same amount of squares finished, but she's way faster than I am, and knits one sweater after another as well. I wanted to give it another chance and knit on, but in the end I knew it's not going to happen.

One night, after a beer party, the Danes settled in the hall for
sleep; they knew no sorrows. The evil creature, grim and hungry,
grabbed thirty warriors and went home laughing. At dawn, when the
Danes learned of Grendel's strength, there was great weeping. The old
king sat sadly, crying for his men. Bloody footprints were found. That
was bad enough, but the following night Grendel killed more-- blinded
by sin, he felt no remorse. (You can bet the survivors started
sleeping elsewhere.) So Grendel ruled, fighting right, one against
many, and the greatest hall in all the earth stood empty at night.
Twelve years this went on, Hrothgar suffering the greatest of sorrows.
Poets sang sad songs throughout the world, how Grendel tormented
Hrothgar; how no warrior, no matter how brave, could kill Grendel. How
Grendel wasn't about to stop, or pay damages. Grendel kept ambushing
from his lair, the moors which lay in perpetual darkness. Then, the
cruelest of all injuries, he moved into the hall-- stayed there every
night (though God would never allow such an evil thing to actually
touch the throne). Hrothgar was broken; council after council proposed
what to do against the attacks. They even went to heathen temples,
worshipped idols, and called to the Devil for help. The Danes forgot
God. (Woe be to those who go to the fire's embrace, even in great
distress-- There is no consolation there.) No counselor, no warrior
could destroy the evil. They wept and seethed. Beowulf Hears of
Grendel But a warrior of Hygelac's heard of Grendel's doings; he was
the strongest of men alive in that day, mighty and noble. That man
called for a ship, said he would cross the ocean and help the king who
needed help. Wise men urged him to that adventure though he was dear
to them. They examined omens and whetted him on. So the good Geat
chose the bravest warriors, fourteen of them, and that crafty sailor
led them to the land's brim, to the ship. They readied the ship on the
waves under the cliffs and the warriors stood at the prow as the water
wound against the sand. The warriors bore into the ship's bosom bright
weapons, fitted armor. The men shoved the well-braced ship out on the
journey they'd dreamed of. The foamy-necked ship went out like a bird
so that the next day its curved prow had gone so far that the
seafarers saw land, shining shore cliffs and steep mountains. Their
journey was already over and the Geat warriors pulled their ship to
the shore and stood on land in their rattling shirts, their
war-clothes. They thanked God for an easy trip. From his wall the
sea-guard of the Danes, protector of the cliffs, saw bright shields
and ready war dress coming over the gang plank and he wondered who
those men were. Hrothgar's warrior rode to shore on his horse. Shaking
a mighty spear, he spoke: Who are you, in armor, who come over the

Content: Hurricane Ivan left tourism outlook bleak in the western Fl panhandle where summer is the peak season. Panhandle resort communities east of Navarre Beach, however, survived Ivan with relatively little damage. The info is current Jan 25, 2005 The author is informing about the destruction of Florida beaches and loss caused by Ivan.

-ne The Monroe County Public Library opposes government supported internet filters becuase they think that it will block out potentially vital information for people doing research. I personally think that it is unfiar to have internet filters at the library becuase it is a violation of our first ammendment right.

-ne Whew...after months of work and studing and practice tests, I have completed my first round of A Certification. This round of tests consisted of 80 questions randomly selected from a number of areas ranging from hardware installation, to internal functions and how they work.

-ne Vuelve la Terapia Hormonal (TH ) durante la Transición Menopausica y la Postmenopausia ( por recomendación de la Sociedad Internacional de Menopausia, el Colegio Americano de Ginecólogos y Obstetras asà como de la Sociedad Norteamericana de Menopausia ) Jaime Urdinola M.D. Colombia La TH regresa nuevamente a la escena, indicada en mujeres durante su transición menopáusica asà como en la postmenopausia, de acuerdo con la recomendación actualizada de la Sociedad Internacional de Menopausia ( IMS ) 1, el Colegio Americano de Ginecólogos y Obstetras ( ACOG ) 2 , asà como de la Sociedad Norteamericana de Menopausia ( NAMS ) 3 y del pronunciamiento de la Asociación Colombiana de Menopausia ( ACM ) 4 que considera que la TH es Calidad de Vida. La aparición de riesgo significativo desde el primer año de uso sugiere que el exceso de cancer de seno surge de los sesgos de observación y que no fue inducido realmente por las hormonas. - En los estudios observacionales se prescribieron las hormonas a mujeres que se encontraban en la transición de la menopausia, la mayorÃa de las cuales se encontraba sintomática y que tenÃan 55 años o menos de edad al momento de iniciar el tratamiento. En ausencia de nueva información relevante sobre THR iniciada durante la transición menopáusica ( sin que se opongan los datos positivos de las mujeres jóvenes que participaron en el estudio de la WHI sólo con estrógenos ), el Comité Ejecutivo recomienda la continuación de la practica global aceptada, que incluye el uso de estrógenos con gestágeno o de sólo estrógenos en el caso de mujeres con histerectomÃa, para el alivio de los sÃntomas de la menopausia o de los sÃntomas urogenitales, para evitar la pérdida ósea y las fracturas y la atrofia del tejido conectivo o del epitelio. Con la WHI se aprecia la tendencia continuada de los efectos contradictorios sobre el cancer de seno ( un pequeño aumento absoluto en el grupo de estrógenos con gestágeno y una disminución del riesgo en el grupo con sólo estrógenos ) y la disminución del riesgo de cancer de colon y de fracturas óseas, incluyendo las fracturas de cadera. El péndulo de la opinión popular se ha desplazado con la aparición de los resultados de la WHI, desde el mito equivocado que los estrógenos eran la panacea para una variedad de enfermeda-des hasta la asustadora creencia de hace poco, que ahora son un anatema aún para tratar condiciones como las oleadas de calor. Aunque se considera que las terapias hormonales no se deben utilizar sólo para la prevención de enfermedades, existen instancias en las que la prevención es un beneficio secundario para la mujer tomando hormonas para los sÃntomas vasomotores, como la prevención de la osteoporosis o bajo circunstancias limitadas- no como la primera elección-, en aquella mujer con depresión leve a moderada. Ejemplo: 44 por 10 000 por año , - riesgo relativo ( RR ) Incidencia en los expuestos dividida por la incidencia en los no expuestos Ejemplo: ( 44 por 10 000 por año ) / ( 22 por 10 000 por año ) = 2.0 - riesgo atribuible ( RA ) Incidencia en los expuestos menos incidencia en los no expuestos Ejemplo: ( 44 por 10 000 por año) - ( 22 por 10 000 por año ) = 22 por 10 000 por año - número necesario para tratar ( NNT ) Número de individuos que deben ser tratados con una intervención durante un periodo especifico de tiempo, para prevenir 1 resultado desfavorable o para obtener el resultado de 1 evento favorable Ejemplo: 1 dividido por ( incidencia en los expuestos menos incidencia en los no expuestos ) = 1/0.0022 = 454 Aclara los riesgos en contexto, de acuerdo con la definición del CIOMS ( Council for Internacional Organizations of Medical Sciences = Consejo para las Organizaciones Internacionales de Ciencias Médicas ), de la siguiente forma: · admi- nistracion diaria de estrógenos, añadiendo el gestageno en una secuencia determinada - TE/TEG sistémica Preparaciones de TE / TEG con efecto sistémico - TE local Preparaciones de TE que tienen predominantemente un efecto local no sistemico Recomendaciones de la NAMS no incluÃdas dentro de las anteriores de la IMS y del ACOG: I- No existe evidencia suficiente en relación a la seguridad endometrial, para recomendar el uso de ciclos largos de gestágeno ( cada 3-6 meses durante 12 a 14 dÃas ), el uso de un dispositivo intrauterino que contenga gestágeno o estrógenos de baja dosis con gestágeno, como alternativas frente a los regÃmenes estándar de TEG. II- La menopausia prematura y la falla ovárica precoz son condiciones asociadas con un comienzo más temprano de osteoporosis y de enfermedad cardÃaca coronaria, aunque no existan datos claros sobre la forma en que la TE ó la TEG reducen la morbilidad o la mortalidad de estas condiciones.

Seems, indeed it is true, aborted babies were used in developing the Varicella and Rubella vaccines.So I will try and summarize the article without plagerizing to the best of my ability.The first dirived vaccine is the Rubella, dirivative of RA273 ((Rubella, Abortus, 27, 3rd tissue explant)). Another rubella strain was developed in Great Britian and it's came from a baby boy, scientifically refered to as MRC-5.The only Rubella vaccine option today not tied to these two aborted babies is still awaiting FDA approval. There is another varicella vaccine, HPV-77, which is dirived from animal cell, but this option is not on the market.What I gleened from the article is that babies were sought after if they were believed to be infected with the disease researchers were hoping to issolate for vaccine development. The aborted fetal cell lines are not immortal and additional tissue from aborted babies is being used to create new vaccines and sustain the existing ones4. The use of the vaccines provide financial incentive and support for further research and vaccine developement using aborted babies8.

Are we willing to not give people the finger when the get too close or honk at us.What does the cycling industry have to do to sell more bikes. Part of the answer is going to come from how innovative the bike industry is at developing its product and marketing its product. In my mind cyclings biggest negative is cyclists (well some of cyclists) Those arrogant condesending folks that think you must ride at 27 plus mph on every ride, that think you must have a 000 plus machine before you are accepted into their group. They never agree to hold a bike rodeo at a local elementary school on a Saturday instead of going on their long ride.

is the name given to a community where the people who cut sugar cane live. There can be many separate bateys just a few kilometers from each other and some are much poorer than others. (I think the ones we visited are not considered to be that poor.) A lot of the cane is owned by a company called Central Romana and entire bateys either work for El Romana or for smaller, private owners. Women cook over fires which hurts their lungs and children sit outside chewing on cane. The bateys where the caña is owned by smaller, private owners (and also some of El Romana) have houses that would not even been deemed acceptable sheds in the US. Many of the people who cut cane and live in the bateys are Haitian. It used to be that most worked cutting cane but now the production of cane is decreasing and more and more are working in construction. And looking around the bateys, I must admit that one of my first thoughts was how much blacker the people were than in most towns; At the batey La Higuera we saw the way they cut cane, how the oxen pull big trains/carts of it to the weighing station, and how they weigh it. They pay workers 80-100 pesos per ton of cane (about .50-). It is very hard work and many of the workers don’t use gloves so the cane cuts up their hands. Then, I saw a dark spot on my mosquito net and realized the rat had climbed up the net and was now sitting at the top of it, weighing it down. After about another hour of hide and seek where I laid curled up in a ball afraid the rat might make it inside my net somehow, I think I saw the rat leave. Knowing that you will spend two years like this, trying to make this country your home but always being the foreigner, the outsider who will never fit in and will never truly understand what it feels like to be a Dominican…it’s hard to know this and be comfortable with the concept. I will always have a safety net that I can fall into if something were to happen, will always be able to buy food-even if my money runs out before the end of the month, and will be able to receive medical care.

Maybe he will cause a revolution and wake up baseball people.The amount of pitches he throws is akin to running mileage. Think about it, a starter throws 100 pitches at high intensity for a game. The vast amounts of pitches and the long toss he does probably goes a long way to giving him arm strength/endurance that American pitchers seemingly lack.One thing that has always made me wonder is, do you ever see a pitcher cool down after a start? I had a brief discussion on baseball pitchers and how they throw with an expert in biomechanics a couple months ago and it was very interesting. Basically, he broke down all the wrong things that he's seen baseball coaches over the years try and teach their pitchers. For example, there was a craze for a couple years where coaches would teach pitchers to make their arm, on the follow through, swing across their body and basically try and get it to the opposite leg or around there. You don't actively make your leg cycle through on recovery, it does it naturally (and faster than if you tried to do it) because of a correct hip extension/push off phase.The braves of the 90s, early 2000s and there pitching mastermind similarly went against the norm and look at their results. This could be because the braves had their pitchers actually pitch more than other teams. For example, the day after Tom Glavine pitched 131 pitches in a game, he threw long toss from 60 to 120 ft at 75-80%, then 20min off the mound, 20 min of running, then leg exercises, stretching and arm strengthening drills with a 2.5lb baseball. Another team's renowned orthopedist told pitchers to pitch through the pain of shoulder injuries to break adhesions (they just ended up breaking their shoulders).Just something to think about.

is the name given to a community where the people who cut sugar cane live. There can be many separate bateys just a few kilometers from each other and some are much poorer than others. (I think the ones we visited are not considered to be that poor.) A lot of the cane is owned by a company called Central Romana and entire bateys either work for El Romana or for smaller, private owners. Women cook over fires which hurts their lungs and children sit outside chewing on cane. The bateys where the caña is owned by smaller, private owners (and also some of El Romana) have houses that would not even been deemed acceptable sheds in the US. Many of the people who cut cane and live in the bateys are Haitian. It used to be that most worked cutting cane but now the production of cane is decreasing and more and more are working in construction. And looking around the bateys, I must admit that one of my first thoughts was how much blacker the people were than in most towns; At the batey La Higuera we saw the way they cut cane, how the oxen pull big trains/carts of it to the weighing station, and how they weigh it. They pay workers 80-100 pesos per ton of cane (about .50-). It is very hard work and many of the workers don’t use gloves so the cane cuts up their hands. Then, I saw a dark spot on my mosquito net and realized the rat had climbed up the net and was now sitting at the top of it, weighing it down. After about another hour of hide and seek where I laid curled up in a ball afraid the rat might make it inside my net somehow, I think I saw the rat leave. Knowing that you will spend two years like this, trying to make this country your home but always being the foreigner, the outsider who will never fit in and will never truly understand what it feels like to be a Dominican…it’s hard to know this and be comfortable with the concept. I will always have a safety net that I can fall into if something were to happen, will always be able to buy food-even if my money runs out before the end of the month, and will be able to receive medical care.

SO BE SURE TO COME CELEBRATE WHAT IS YOURS AND OURS ON NOVEMBER 9th!Back to Monday - apparently Ministry Group was fairly uneventful - the minutes will go up on the website shortly.Tuesday and Wednesday I spent about 12 hours each day at home chopping up a 116-page transcript of the divorce videos into paragraph-sized pieces, and rearranging them into 12 themes, and in some sort of rational order. So the script looks kind of like this: IN - Tape 2 Person 1, 27:43OUT - 31:24IN - Tape 7, Person 2, 12:37OUT - 14:02CUT TO STAND-UPEven though anger is normal and natural, it CAN be a dangerous emotion, often alienating you from other people. But I was pretty sure I could do it in my sleep and turns out he was really happy when he saw me doing it - said I should have gone into broadcasting instead of this church gig - ha ha. I took the plunge and learned THREE new names this week, so I can greet the three of them by name next week.Last night there were 17 came to our potluck - pretty much all people in couples who've been around the church for a good long time. -ne Tuesday’s snow storm provided moments of déjà vu for me. It was just last year that Indianapolis was hit by a snow storm that snarled afternoon rush hour traffic in a fierce way. My dogs dislike going in the back yard because it is covered with snow, yet going on walks makes their paws cold. Instead, they are tracking all the smells trapped in the snow and going out of their way to see who left the beautiful yellow snow on the ground.Also creating a challenge with walking the dogs is the number of neighbors who choose not to shovel their walks, creating a challenge for anyone walking their dogs, walking to school, or walking to the bus stop. I am ready for baseball.And very few things are more synonymous with baseball that hot dogs. Anyone that knows me and has read my blog for long enough knows what a fan I am of hot dogs and sausages in general. And I find great joy in finding new hot dog destinations. A very filling and recommended meal.There will be many returns for me as I expect to try every variety they have, starting with the Reuben dog (Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing). I am still a big fan of the Chicago-original Vienna Beef, but I’m so happy to find an Indianapolis based hot dog joint with their own recipe for their dogs.

They in effect create an underground biosphere, so to speak, where future corn plants will develop healthy root systems and therefore healthy plants above ground, as well.â€â€œI will, of course, continue to apply composted horse manure, a la Sara, to every inch of soil where we grow crops. Some of the sugars are derived from corn, so we are essentially feeding the plants' sugars back to itself.â€â€œNext week we will be adding Sweet Leaf, which contains four of the sweetest sugars known, that affect the production of essential oils in the plant. It takes only 77 days from seed to harvest, so it was six weeks vegging and now it’s five weeks flowering.â€â€œEven though we’ve tasted this variety and it’s very sweet on its own, there is no harm in enhancing the sweetness and that sweet corn aroma, is there?â€â€œHarvest is not too far away.
